The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has been Britain's gardening charity since 1804 - when it was founded under the title 'The Horticultural Society of London' by Sir Joseph Banks and John Wedgwood; its aim was to collect plant information and encourage the improvement of horticultural practice.
The RHS continues to encourage the science, art and practice of horticulture in all its branches and it is now the world's leading horticultural organisation via their 4 core values - passionate about gardening, leaders in the gardening world, environmentally responsible and trustworthy.
